The Incite Foundation 2013-2014 awards in arts education includes support for the regular and high needs tours program of the Art Gallery of Hamilton, instrumental music education through An Instrument for Every Child, the sculpture program at the Dundas Valley School of Art, and Culture for Kids in the Arts through the Hamilton Conservatory of the Arts.

“Incite’s support of the HPO is fundamental to our ability to provide the Greater Hamilton Area with one of the finest regional orchestras in the country. We’re especially grateful for Incite’s inspired vision that recognizes the arts as critical to community growth and prosperity,” said Carol Kehoe, Executive Director, Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra.

Added Colin Clarke, Music Director of the HYPO, “HYPO is extremely grateful to the Incite Foundation for their generous donation that will allow us to purchase percussion equipment for our student musicians, allowing them to train and perform on quality instruments, and widening the option of symphonic works that we can explore. The Incite donation will also enable us to broaden our reach to younger members of our community through the development of a junior orchestra program, geared towards providing a symphonic environment for less experienced musicians.”

The Incite Foundation for the Arts is a non-profit organization formed in 2011 to provide funding to charitable arts organizations in the Hamilton area. The Foundation has been funded with generous seed money from private sources.

Since 2011, Incite has donated over $375,000 to Hamilton area Arts Organizations. For further information regarding the Incite Foundation for the Arts or to make a donation to the Foundation, please contact Liz Stirling at 905-648-7849, lizstirling@cogeco.ca.
